What began as a shared passion has become something more, a studio that bridges the gap between concept and buildability.
Our Story
Smico was founded by Brittany and Scott - partners in life and work, whose shared beginnings trace back to university, where they both studied design. From those early days, what began as a mutual appreciation for good design grew into a unified vision for creating spaces that feel considered, connected and truly liveable.
Scott needed to build. Brittany needed to design. And together, they set out to do both.
Brittany worked globally in award-winning design studios, developing expertise in creating finely crafted contemporary design and thoughtful planning outcomes.
Scott took a hands on route, shifting into construction management and working his way through the trade toward his open builder’s licence. His experience on site, managing time, teams, and materials, is the practical backbone of the studio today.
Together, they bring design and construction together from day one.
Years later, Smico is the product of that shared goal. A place where design is intuitive and where construction is never an afterthought.
